Dr. Ariel Claman is a board-certified psychiatrist with subspecialty training in consultation-liaison psychiatry. He treats adults with a wide range of psychiatric concerns, including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, psychotic disorders, and personality-related patterns.

He also works with individuals facing the psychological impact of medical illness, chronic conditions, and other health-related stressors.

Dr. Claman has a particular interest in how developmental history, relationships, and culture shape identity and inner life. His clinical work is insight-oriented and collaborative, helping patients explore their experiences and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and as an Attending Psychiatrist on the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he teaches and supervises medical students, residents, and fellows.
